MITouch gathers and presents critical manufacturing data in real time

Valuable data from manufacturing workflow is often recorded on paper based systems if test and repair environments are not suited to computer based data collection. Our clients have expressed an urgent need for a simple workflow based system, which could be used to collect and report vital quality  information in real time to allow rapid detection of pervasive manufacturing problems and issues.

The MITouch system addresses this need as well as providing valuable manufacturing source data to enhance "Through Life Asset Management" capability, at Asset, Group, or Sales Order level.

Assets may be tracked and managed using low cost Radio Frequency Identification tags (RFID), which can be permanently, or temporarily affixed to the item.

Using the RFID enabled MITouch workstations, operators can quickly identify assets, then record test result, failure mode and activity data against every item at any stage of the manufacturing workflow.

From the first stage of the MITouch manufacturing workflow, assets are matched with individual Sales Orders, sales staff and customers can be given access to interrogate the system and create bespoke views of order progress. 

MITouch intelligently routes items through process steps according to easily configured manufacturing rules. As data is held in real time, senior manufacturing staff can monitor progress via wireless tablets to immediately identify issues and analyse down to root cause.

Similarly offsite staff are able to view and report on real time and historical data to enhance efficiency and improve client communication.

The MITouch methodology provides the base data, and interfaces with, the Wildfire Through Life Sustainment system which is already in use, managing aerospace assets, Worldwide.

Real time views of manufacturing data

Wildfire users are provided with instant real time access to their data, securely and reliably. This allows rapid feedback of progress and trends to their business.  Deployed on a WIFI enabled tablet, MITouch and associated data is instantly available to senior staff.

 

Intuitive yet powerful analysis of MITouch data

Wildfire has been proven to dramatically reduce the time and effort required in analysis of even the most complex information. Instead of manually creating queries and reports, or using the limited ability of Excel, the Wildfire dashboard offers users the ability to perform almost any filtering function on multiple fields allowing immediate display of results and the ability to either directly print, email, report, or graph them.

 

Office 2007 interoperability

It is often essential that views of data, once analysed, can be disseminated quickly and in an acceptable format. As Wildfire is able to output to any Office 2007 application, results can be emailed, mailmerged with Word, Graphed in Excel, or if data contains date / time fields, can be exported to Project.Clients value Wildfire's ability to connect seamlessly to their core systems and Microsoft Office products and users find it easy to use with little, or no training as it adheres to the Office 2007 look and feel.

 

Ongoing analysis

Using Wildfire, users can be given controlled access to data held in multiple disparate, or remote systems. Intuitive filters, reporting and the ability to interface with Office 2007, make Wildfire an essential tool for data analysis and reporting.

As Wildfire users can create filters and reports "on the fly", further detailed queries and analysis can be done as quickly as the user can think of them, again, with outputs to any of the Office 2007 suite of applications.

MITouch tracking by Sales Order

Serial numbers and RFID asset tag Ids are matched with Sales Order numbers at the start of the process, valuable tracking and historical data can be provided in real time to sales, technical staff and clients, to allow reporting against specific sales orders. A valuable tool for Sales reporting and technical evaluation.
