Wildfire TQS 2010

The Training Quality Standard highlights high quality, high impact training, by looking at the organisation's responsiveness, flexibility, expertise and commitment to continuous improvement. The Standard is a mark for training providers to aspire to because it's tough to achieve - and through it, their performance is what really sets them apart from the competition.-Training Quality Standard Website

Until recently, the capture of the TQS data / evidence and the subsequent monitoring of performance has been carried out using processes based around paper and Microsoft Excel. However, in order to automate the achievement of the Training Quality Standard, the key standard for the industry, Wildfire Information Systems have created a fully proceduralised application, which simplifies and streamlines accreditation.

Wildfire provide a software package which contains the key features from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with the capture and reporting requirements from the Training Quality Standard, resulting in a single integrated solution which can be either installed as an off-the-shelf package or tailored to meet an individual training provider's needs.

The TQS 2010 Solution is sold on a 3 year lease "rent to own" which includes training and all support and maintenance. At the end of this period the TQS 2010 product becomes "owned" and from beginning of year  4 the only cost is for maintenance and  support.

The package as delivered also includes the Wildfire Graphical Reporter Add In and the integration to Unity, Maytas and any other existing core systems.

The Wildfire Developer Toolkit is also shipped as part of the solution which allows customers to make customised changes themselves. This is not a programming tool and any competent user of Office can be trained to use this facility.

In Q3 2010 or earlier Wildfire SAR  Module (Self Assessment Reports) and Web Access Portal will be made available FOC as an upgrade to all customers.

Support is available 9.00am to 5.30pm via telephone or e-mail Monday To Friday. Any changes to statutory requirements will be provided by Wildfire under the provision of support and maintenance arrangements. This would be via a general upgrade release to all customers typically distributed via e-mail or download from our web site.

Wildfire TQS 2010 FAQ

Does it link to current MIS system?

Wildfire can link through to any database management system (MIS) to which you can obtain an ODBC connection. We have existing links to Maytas and Unity for example.

How does it link - Server - Standalone?

The link to an existing MIS is done through a linked server from our back end database, which is SQL Server (any version from 2000 onwards and any edition including the free Express edition). The link is not direct from the client software.

Does it automatically extract data from the MIS - what information can it extract?

We have applications out in the field which do both. We have ones which periodically pull data from the live MIS and use it 'offline' and we have a greater number, which link to live data. We can aggregate and report on any combination of tables in the MIS system, as we do for Beneast where we expose friendly reports aggregated from over a dozen tables in their main MIS database.

What are the features against using current MIS system to retrieve customer information?

If I understand your question correctly this means 'how can the MIS data be reported on in Wildfire? We can provide attractive table views with built in grouping, sorting, and filtering to any level. In addition, Wildfire is an extensible application framework so with minimal effort we can provide charts, Excel automation and Crystal reports tailored to your requirements and directly from the same environment so that users do not have to go in and out of several applications in order to get their reports. Wildfire is extremely user friendly and is rapidly accepted and used .

Can it be used for mail merging and automatically generating correspondence and report when offsite (Pre-programmed)?

Yes, the TQS application has built in Word mail template management which makes it easy to define campaigns, link contacts into them and then mail merge the letter. We can write a server side monitor application which

Does this data have to be inputted multiple times?

Again, we have applications in the field which do both. We can link to the underlying record in your MIS using the unique identifier from your MIS, or we can allow you to enter the data separately into both systems. We have customers whose MIS data contains many duplicates and they would not want to continue using those records for business development purposes, they would rather create new records in Wildfire and simply view the MIS ones. So, in summary, the answer is: double entry would be a policy choice made by yourselves.

 What are the costs?

The TQS 2010 Solution is sold on a lease rental plan which for a 20 / 40 / 60 concurrent user pack that includes training and all support and maintenance. At the end of this period the TQS 2010 product becomes "owned" and from beginning of year 4 the only cost is for maintenance and support.

The package as delivered also includes the Wildfire Graphical Reporter Add In, what is this?

In Q3 2010 or earlier Wildfire SAR Module (Self Assessment Reports) and Web Access Portal will be made available FOC as an upgrade to all customers .

The Wildfire Developer Toolkit is also shipped as part of the solution which allows customers to make customised changes themselves. This is not a programming tool and any competent user of Office can be trained to use this facility.

 What support is available?

Support is available 9.00am to 5.30pm via telephone or e-mail Monday To Friday. Any changes to statutory requirements will be provided by Wildfire under the provision of support and maintenance arrangements. This would be via a general upgrade release to all customers typically distributed via e-mail or download from our web site

 Can it be hosted?

We could host the application for you but we would be renting a dedicated server for you and we would want to pass on these costs. The hosting would be through remote desktop. If you already have a Windows Server it may be more cost effective for you to host it internally, and would have an additional benefit in that any Outlook automation such as the automatic generation of tasks, contacts, emails, calendar items could be done directly into the user's Outlook profile.

Can it be used for mail merging and automatically generating correspondence and report when offsite (Pre-programmed)?

Yes, the TQS application has built in Word mail template management which makes it easy to define campaigns, link contacts into them and then mail merge the letter. We can write a server side monitor application which generates and sends these automatically if you wish but we would quote for this separately. We are currently writing one for a firm of solicitors in Colwyn Bay, so it is something we can easily do.
